My first career began as an accountant, which took me to the glorious job title of Financial controller, and I remained for some time with a foot in both the accounting world, and the therapy world. For some people they seem to be poles apart, but I just joke that I’ve spent my working life working with figures.
I’ve been working with complementary therapies since 2005, taking my first steps with holistic massage, and adding new treatments and developing my skills every year.
Learning has always been a passion of mine, whether its reading, going to workshops, formal classes, or just researching online, it’s the continuing cycle of challenging both my academic ability, and my practical skills, to make sure that I’m pushing myself towards my full potential.
It was inevitable that I would end up teaching, and I have started writing my own courses and seminars, as well as delivering other peoples courses. Now I have graduated from my GDTLLS course, and have already completed my assessors training.
